Harassed during entry to Casino...

I am curious if there is anything I can do here? I attempted to go to the Casino with my boyfriend on 9/5/20 in Salamanca NY. The initial usher for the temperature screening COVID check approached me and asked about "Pebbles" my service dog. I was repeatedly asked 3-4 times "What task does the dog help you perform?". I explained she is my service dog, and I am blind. We went in circles with this for about 10 minutes. My boyfriend started recording on his cell phone, and caught some of this on camera before he was told he is NOT allowed to record in there. One would think, most assume a blind person with a guide dog is used for mobility, helping someone get around. I don't this this employee understood that.
I researched the ADA (American Disabilities Act) and have read that this shouldn't of happened. I answered her questions, even spoke to another employee, and answered THAT question too, the same way I answered it the first 3 times. I was still pulled aside, made to be a spectacle for every other patron waiting to be checked in. I was humiliated, embarrassed, and I feel discriminated against because I am blind.
I have filed a complaint with the Department of Justice Civil Rights because of this, not that they "denied" me entry, but pulled me aside, questioned me multiple times about "WHY" she is a service dog. What is there to not understand, she had a harness on her, and was following my commands. Is there anything else I can do here, any help would be appreciated.
We also have video recorded as well of this incident.

Spanish bands and musicians

I'm currently learning Spanish and planning to move to Spain in future to teach English. I love music and listen to a lot of different genres, I'm trying to listen to more Spanish artists to help with the language and pick up some of the culture. I'm gonna list off some of the stuff I'm into and ask if anyone has good recommendations for me for music coming out of Spain. I'd prefer it if it were Spanish language but it's not 100% necessary if you think they're worth checking out.
Punk/Rock/Metal: Black Sabbath Iron Maiden Mastodon Gojira Bad Brains Misfits The Black Dahlia Murder Type O Negative Killswitch Engage TRC Malevolence Ramones System of a Down Title Fight Turnstile Pixies Sepultura Ghost The Animals Fugazi Deftones Gogol Bordello
Think I've covered enough bases there
Rap: I pretty much only listen to UK grime or 90s US hip-hop
Dance music: Drum n bass Jungle Dub Reggae The Prodigy Aphex Twin Justice The xx Clams Casino
Spanish bands I'm already listening to: Hamlet Extremoduro Narcos Def Con Dos Kamikazes Desakato And I LOVE Nacha Pop, listened to all their albums, anything similar would be great.
I'll be in Spain for two weeks in September (fingers crossed), I'll be staying in Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao and Salamanca. If you have any recommendations for music venues, bars, clubs in those areas that would be amazing too.
Thanks for taking the time to read this long old post, I have a bad habit of rambling. Hopefully this can turn into a good discussion/music swapping post.

Tesla Roadtrip blog.

Alright jabronis, as mentioned earlier I will be driving my turdsla model 3 from ashburn Virginia to Southwestern Ontario. Total travel distance is 830 km. I’m here to document my travel time, including all the charge stops. I’m thinking I’ll capture charge time, how much I charged and the charge cost. Let me know if you want anything else.
Some notes: it’s optimal driving conditions. A bit overcast but not raining. Temp is looking to be around 20 Celsius for the majority of the drive. I’ve done this route before a total of 6 times, so I’m fairly confident with it. 3 times in the Tesla and 3 times in my 2008 Acura TSX. Since the drive is highway a majority of the time I will be utilizing autopilot whenever I can.
Im starting the trip with an almost full charge, range is at 500km. Departure time is 8:15 am. The first stop I’m planning to make is Altoona. I’m happy to answer any questions you guys might have.
https://imgur.com/gallery/Po4UKMh
First planned stop.
https://imgur.com/gallery/4Dik8JL
Time lapse of hwy 70, where the mountains begin. https://imgur.com/gallery/BmOTWYY
Im really enjoying these views
Another AP timelapse. https://imgur.com/gallery/Fqgtvol AP made two mistakes here, the first was when it travelled too slow in the passing lane and I had to imitate a lane change with the turn signal stock. The second was where it started a lane change but cancelled half way trough. This is one of those things that really freak you out when it happens the first time.

Update:

10:47 am, arrived at Altoona https://imgur.com/gallery/vAZLtwV
I drove 260 Kms, took about 2hrs and 25 minutes. The charge went from 505km when I left to 187kms here, so the speed and elevation charge really took its toll.
The charger is working at 150kh, and I’m only charging enough to make it salamanca, NY, which is 242kms away.
Time to grab a coffee.

Update:

11:07 am back on the road. Charge time 20 was minutes and added 200km charge. Next supercharge is 240 km away and estimated travel time of 2 hours 45 minutes. Supercharger cost was $3.85. I also noticed that my tire psi was a bit low, will add air at the next stop.
https://imgur.com/gallery/SOsxUAP

update

2pm. Arrived in Salamanca with 97km left of a charge, pretty close to what was estimated. All the downhill driving helped. The next stop will be the duty free, then grimsbee supercharger, for now I’m off to the casino.
https://imgur.com/gallery/zC47abM

update

2:17pm. Leaving for the border, then grismby supercharger. Added 240km of charge for a cost of $10.15. Time charging 17 minutes. https://imgur.com/gallery/G5HWrSD
It seems that superchargers in NY state are a lot more expensive than the ones in PA.

surprise

https://imgur.com/gallery/YGW299F
It’s from a far but that’s the ugly step child of the Tesla gigafactories

update

4:21 pm, crossed the border after about a 20 minute lineup. Since the charge is high enough I’m skipping Grimsby and going to the Hamilton Superchargers
https://imgur.com/gallery/cRx1G90

update

5:23 pm. This is the last charge stop. I’m 150km from home. Arrived with 100km if battery left, I hit a bit of traffic on the QEW, I’m estimating about 20 min lost there. https://imgur.com/gallery/yhKa0Sw

update

5:35pm, last 12 minute charge stop. Gained 166kms for a price of $4.35. Will be home in 1.5hours.
GrandTotal charge time for the trip was 49 minutes and the total cost was $18.35. I’ll check in one last time when I make it home.

final update.

Made it home at 7:05pm with 93km in the battery. Gonna go chill. Pc dudes

More Erie area tips (from me, not my Uber driver lol 😄 Although I do appreciate all tips)

GoErie.com—www.goerie.com—Provides a wealth of information on news and events in Erie and Northwest PA.
The Erie Zoo- Has a good assortment of animals, as well as a train ride.
There are also things to do in Chautauqua County, New York. The Chautauqua Institute is world-renowned, and frequently boasts big-name entertainment. There is also a resort called Peek ‘n’ Peak in Findley Lake, just across the border off I-86. Offers year-round activities, but is noted for skiing and snow sports. There is also casino gambling in Salamanca, NY about a 90 minute drive from Erie. Erie has it's own casino as well.
There is an Amtrak train that serves Erie. It is called the Lake Shore Limited, and runs between NYC and Chicago. Eastbound service departs Erie at 7:20 AM, and Westbound Service departs at 1:48 AM.
You are only 2 hours from Niagara Falls, and 4.5 hours from Toronto. You’ll need a passport to enter Canada.
There are a couple of great candy stores in Erie: Pulako’s Chocolates and Steffanelli’s. Another one worth visiting is on W. 8th Street, near the Bayfront Parkway—this is Romolo’s Chocolates.
Erie County is known for its grapes. There are several wineries in the region; Mazza Vineyards and Penn-Shore Vineyards are a couple. There are also wineries in Conneaut County, Ohio, and even more in Chautauqua County, NY.
Waldameer Park and Water World—located off W. 8th Street at the foot of Presque Isle. Has a great wooden roller coaster called the Ravine Flyer 2, and a large waterpark. Also offers various rides, food and beverage, picnicking, and free parking!
Erie has perhaps the best milk in the country. MeadowBrook Dairy has the best chocolate milk—their recipe is now used all over the country!
There is a well-known donut shop on Parade Street---Mighty Fine Donuts.
Don’t forget to check out my favorite...Presque Isle State Park—offers swimming beaches, bicycling, picnicking, and miles of walking/jogging trails. I enjoy walking my 🐕 and collecting sea glass

[BN] Cuomo pushing Las Vegas-style casino in Western New York; What's your opinion on casinos in and around Buffalo?

ALBANY – Frustrated by the lack of a casino revenue agreement with the Seneca Nation, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Wednesday proposed permitting a new Las Vegas-style casino in Western New York if voters statewide approve a gambling expansion amendment to the state constitution.
If that statewide plan fails, Cuomo proposed locating two gambling halls with slot-like machines in Western New York to compete with the three Seneca casinos.
The dramatic escalation of the state's fight with the Senecas came a day after Seneca President Barry Snyder Sr. called Cuomo a “bully” in between Snyder's meetings with state legislative leaders to try to beat back Cuomo's casino expansion plan. Cuomo officials, according to sources involved in the negotiations, called Snyder's comments the final straw that led to the governor releasing his bill Wednesday with the added Western New York gambling sites to challenge Seneca casino operations.
The casino bill still needs legislative approval and the backing of a separate constitutional amendment change by voters in a statewide referendum as early as this fall.
The bill calls for a “destination resort” casino located in Western New York if the Seneca Nation's 2002 casino compact with the state is not in “good standing.” It does not say who determines such standing, and the Senecas have insisted Cuomo cannot unilaterally impose such a condition.
In addition, the legislation states that two new video lottery terminal facilities, which offer slot-like devices such as those at the Hamburg and Batavia harness tracks, can open in Western New York if voters do not approve the broader statewide casino expansion. The VLT facilities cannot offer table games such as poker, but the existing nine track-based casinos have proven increasingly successful for their operators in recent years.
Both sides said Wednesday evening that negotiations have not broken down and that talks are continuing, but Cuomo has publicly and privately described the progress as nonexistent.
The governor's overall casino plan would locate the first three of seven casinos in upstate regions. He divides upstate into six areas but takes two out of the running – a large swath of Central and Northern New York – because of recent deals he cut with Indian tribes already operating casinos in those areas.
If the Senecas and the state reach a deal to end the dispute that has halted $600 million in tribe revenue-sharing payments to the state and Buffalo, Salamanca and Niagara Falls, the region would be taken off the list of eligible areas for a Class III casino that offers the full array of gambling, except betting on sports.
The additional casino and two possible VLT-only casinos for Western New York would be competitively bid, with the operators chosen by the state Gaming Commission, which Cuomo controls, or a panel appointed by the commission.
The Senecas, under their 2002 compact with New York State, were granted exclusive gambling rights in a large zone that extends from about the middle of the Finger Lakes region to Lake Erie.
While Cuomo proposed a new Class III casino for Western New York if the state and Senecas don't resolve their fight, the two other facilities could only offer video lottery terminals. No table games would be allowed in those facilities, which would only be placed in the region if the Senecas' compact was no longer considered valid.
Cuomo has floated the idea of trying to get a commercial developer to open a casino in downtown Niagara Falls as direct competition to the Seneca Niagara Casino.
Wednesday, Snyder said in an interview with The Buffalo News, in which he twice called Cuomo a “bully,” that the tribe doesn't fear Cuomo's threats and believes that its casino in Niagara Falls would still flourish even with new competition.
Other upstate areas that could have a Las Vegas-style casino would be a part of the Southern Tier, the greater Albany area and the lower Hudson Valley, including the Catskills region. Casinos would be banned in New York City. Other areas of downstate could get one of the remaining four casinos under the seven-casino plan, but not until at least five years after the first upstate casino opens.
The Cuomo plan also calls for casino franchise operators to pay the state at least $50 million in upfront fees and to pay Albany 25 percent of gross gaming revenues. That is less than half the tax rate imposed on racetrack-based casinos, meaning the future gambling operations under the Cuomo plan will be far more lucrative to their owners and provide a smaller percentage of funding to the state than the nine track casinos.
Bettors must be age 21 or older to gamble in the facilities, and, unlike the Indian casinos, gamblers will not be able to smoke in the casinos under the Cuomo plan. The legislation also proposes to ban political contributions by casino applicants to statewide or state legislative officials, and a new Inspector General's Office would be created within the Gaming Commission.
Lawmakers and Cuomo have until June 20 to negotiate the casino bill before the scheduled end of the 2013 legislative session. Lawmakers last year approved a resolution amending the state constitution to permit up to seven new casinos; the same, vague resolution has to be approved again this year if voters are to consider it in November. That 17-word resolution states that casino gambling will be permitted at no more than seven new facilities in the state.
A separate enabling bill, like the one Cuomo proposed Wednesday, is needed to lay out the specifics of how the casino expansion would work; there is nothing to stop future governors or lawmakers from changing those terms if voters approve the casino amendment to the constitution this fall.
